Just noticed that Ana.kramer has shut up his ebay shop.
He had been going since 2001 as an ebay seller after he had closed his physical premises San-Val business (Aero-models and G scale)
He was a great source of bargain price Bachmann kit especially 1:20.3 stuff and Thomas as well as USA Trains kit. He also stocked plenty of Aristocraft back in the day
Even with shipping and VAT his prices undercut UK prices by a large enough margin to make it a good deal, especially when the pound was at nearly 2 dollars!

I bought a fair bit from him and it was always good stuff.

Over on LSC there has been suggestions that Al may have been suffering health issues. The rumor mill turns. Hope not. A decent reliable operator and a boon to any UK Fn3 enthusiast at just about any exchange rate. How does he do it. Echo all your comments Mike. Max

He's still there, just had to open up new shop because he got on some buyer that was trying to screw him and eBay kicked him off here is new dealer code "westwardllc" or you can get same stuff from him 10% cheaper at www-roll-ez-com just have to order by email which is explained on his roll-ez web site

Good news......now, is there a bargain to be had?.......

Glad to hear that he is still functioning. His wheels are excellent.

I've bought a couple of Bachmann TTTE coupler height adjuster kit sets from him. Glad to see the stuff is still available.

I can certainly vouch for Al Kramer having had numerous business dealings with him over the years through my G Scale Online trading activities. His prices are generally unbeatable (especially when he disposed of residual stocks from Bachmann such as the marvellous Spectrum Three-Truck Shays and 1:20.3 Rolling Stock.

Oh, don't we know, 'cos your prices weren't bad :clap:

Oh Al's still there but under a different name due to a dispute with a dishonest buyer he now sells through "westwardllc" or you can get same stuff for about 10% less from his web site www.roll-ez.com, I just bought a 3 truck shay from him using the web site, Bill

Als wheels are very good always have been in gauge and don't wobble unlike bachman ones. I have bought 50 sets off him so far and he has sent them to NZ no hassles at all. Highly recommended by me

A couple of days ago I ordered 20 pairs of bright nickel plated brass wheels from him, this will be my 5th similar order over the years and I anticipate my last. These wheels are standard across Claptowte Railway stock and this last order should give me enough to complete planned rebuilds with a few spares, just in case. They are a superb product, much heavier than steel an give a very low centre of gravity to vehicles.

He always tries to be helpful, he shut his shop a while back but just can't seem to retire...sometimes he does seem to get a bit muddled these days though.

Does anyone know anything about North Pilton Works? I ordered a kit and paid through Paypal. But have had no responses to emails, 'phone calls and most recently a letter with stamped addressed envelope for reply. Not a peep from N Pilton. Anyone know why? Thinking of claiming Paypal refund.

That doesn't seem like them - normally pretty good, and I'd expect to see them at Peterborough, probably would be expected at Warwick this weekend as well.

In the spirit of being helpful:

last post a month ago... so was not an active thread.

Did you read the thread itself or just the header/topic?

A good rule of thumb is always question tacking on to a thread that had gone quiet.. at least read the last few posts, but really read the whole thread... it does not take that long.

Best regards,

Greg
