Really like this. There are so many old treads I try to read but alot of them the pictures are not there anymore..

I think that the missing pictures on some threads is down to Cloud based technology - many providers offering free storage and use - then, when people get used to it, these providers start charging - a bit like holding people to ransom! As I'm not clever enough to make use of this technology (bad enough having microsoft!) then I have been spared this problem!

Looks great, Mick. Be interested in seeing a video to hear the soundcard in action.

Stunning work Mick, it's great to see the step by step progress from start to finish. You would hardly recognise it's origins as a big hauler.

Photos are hard enough for me! Haven't a clue how to put a video on here! The card works off the current draw - stationary there's a hiss of steam and when you set off the exhaust varies according to speed. I need to resolder a wire back on the switch (will have to get the magnifier glass out to see where I'd attached it previously). :banghead:

It is all, of course, non-working! If I get chance, I'll take a pic today.

Thank you Mick for the pictures
I asked you because I was planning to build a 40 ton Heisler with the engine "turning", I already made a hand with a Climax A (ci_joint 2 photos) and a shay 15 all brass. I have always stumbled with the engine.

Looks good so far!

And "Will I have time ......." No! When I started the Heisler, I had every intention of motorising the motion (but the traction drive would still be the two motor blocks). It's hard enough just keeping things in working order!
