Wuppertal Tram 221 Work Start Again

Hi Peter, Camera was just fine.

CV settings, CV 5 is the one you need to Tame the Top Speed. Has a Default Value of 255. What this means is that the Voltage Applied to the Motor when Controller is on Full will be the Maximum allowed.

So Full Controller = Full Speed.

By reducing CV 5 to a Value of between 80 and 100 you will limit that Top Speed. You can play with CV quite happily and no harm will be done other than to reduce the Top Speed to a more realistic amount. Should you not be happy you can always return the value of CV 5 back to 255.

HI JonD Thanks for your comment, but my problem is that I do have something. I tried it once and than I bought an other device to programm my decoders. Failed also. I have to try it again with more patience for it.

Some more details to the tram, including another 20 rivets and a first stop in the paint shop.

At the front it has now cats-eyes.

Indicators are made and handrails for the ladders to reach the roof.

And again the tram fellt into a painting pot. And again Im not really succesfull with it. First I painted the green line underneath the roof and underneath the windows. Than I used masking tape to make the body in creme and he green stripe cames of. Also the creme colour looks a bit shabby. I think I'm too stupid for that kind of work.

I made the sockets at the front of the tram.

The frames for the destination windows where made. and painted.

Two weeks ago I made more tha 140 rivets out of fixing pins. And today I found them already ready! HTese are brass ones. They do have them also in plastic black, or white. These are comming on a string and they are a bit cheaper. So that's life.

Next things made with an airbrush. And again, all that work ended in a paint desaster. I bought a acrylic paint, very expensive and it was the wrong colour. Also the primer I used is really thick, What kind of primer are you using?

The creme livery of Wuppertal trams. The grey parts are allways the roof and the chassis frames.

Than the windows had been made. And a plastic sheet inside the tram to hint the decoder.

So I'm not pleased witrh the fonts. I'm still searching for a better font.

I'm sorry to read about the paint problems, but glad to see that progress still continues.

For priming and painting |I always use acrylic spray paint for cars.
