Why we have a grading system

Two words come to mind "Caveat Emptor". Ebay is a good resource but you need to keep a weather eye out for people selling junk...

Yes you do. I consider myself pretty good at recognizing the good from the bad. I feel bad for those that are new to this and get stung. Of course many of us started out with a few bumps.

I offered $125.00, just to see if he would bite. He came back with $191.00. Odd amount but hey, whatever floats your boat.

So if I offer him $126.97 and get it do you want to buy it off me???

I have deleted it from my "Watch List". Looking at other ways to spend my money. :-\

Be a bit careful doing that - if he says yes, you are already in the contract to buy. Its not an enquiry, its a bid which may be accepted.

From Nottingham press..
A 19 year old (with a four year old kid, says it all!) bid and won 'a picture of an X-box one' for 400 odd quid plus postage.. When said picture arrived, he threw his dummy out the pram and complained.
He got his money back, and the seller has been barred from evilBay!
A local firm was stupid enough to think the publicity was worth it to give the guy an X-box one!!!

There is no justice.. He should get a Darwin!

I used to make absurd offers on overpriced items just to annoy the seller. I am now the proud owner of some 1F (yes that is 1F) 16V capacitors 5 for $4... But more useful are now the 25 10000uF caps I offered $3 for and won. They were on ebay at $228 (not sure if it was a typo and they were$2.28).... Caveat emptor when you are making offers, you may end up with something you don't really have a use for.....

Some other fool won it at the asking price.
