On Tuesday, Rhinochugger suggested that the carriage shed needed some additional bracing. I had considered this, but as any bracing would ultimately be hidden under side cladding, and, as the cladding itself would provide additional stiffness to the model, it seemed academic. As I have stated in the past, I tend to design my scratch builds as I go along, but I have now decided to attach some additional bracing.Needs some diagonal bracing sir - the apprentices need a bit of encouragement![]()

Certainly makes me feel better, and that you have overseen the apprenticesOn Tuesday, Rhinochugger suggested that the carriage shed needed some additional bracing. My wiring on the right, original wiring on the left.
That mess offends my sensibilities, but it works, and is not falling off. - Like one wire had from the power switch..
There were mechanical problems, and it was agreed with the client that a charging socket (rather than keep removing the batteries) was a good idea.
Battery pack will be velcroed into position, and controls will be labelled.

See-through shunt!!It's naked!
Add some flashing lights and that would be great for a night time run
They say there's a prototype for everything!
Don't tell Mrs P!I dream of Jeany in the cellophane bikini.....![]()
Yes, but you know it's there! You can also see the ridiculous amount of detail in the chassis of the fire engine. That I painted and will never be seen when the body is on it

oh, yeah, it takes decades to grow together with one's tools.Owned the last pair 40 years, ...
Funny you should say that. The gardener (look, my knees can't cope these days, I'm not rolling in it) dug up a pair of scissors in my garden 6 months ago. They had gone missing for 6 years. One of a cheap set of 3 (S,M & L) bought 20 years ago in a "bargain" shop. Cleaned up and still cutting ok, now back at work in their "place" in the wicker tray on the coffee table, with the cat's treat assortment and grooming kit. And their stand in's ? Back to dedicated kitchen duties. My life is that organisedAnd now a new pair have been bought the old ones will come out of hiding. Murphy's Law
