Modelling the Northern half of the Isle of Man
The IOM coupling height (higher than 16mm standard) emphasises them, and I read that there's quite an overhang on tighter radii, so made the pivot rather than mount them on the bufferbeams. The front one certainly needs the pivot moving to give it less swing, but it will still be higher than the smoke box apron...Like it!
But, with choppers like that, it can only be named 'Cyrano'.

Looking good - I suppose the other tell-tale of Baldwin descent is the outside frame on the front pony truck.
I wonder what it would look like with that removed

A slow burner of a project has had a bit of progress with the arrival of the seats is the second IOM railcar, a s/h Worsley works etching partly assembled, will probably need disassembling, anyway seats tried in place, every other sliding window cut out, a bit of tweaking of the rear corners and lots of beer, tea and head scratching, next step probably a new thick floor/chassis.

Hello Jasper, I got them off Ebay off a French bloke. They are Citroens and left hand drive. I remember in the UK in the 1960s, some imported cars, mainly Beetles, were LHD. So with a little imagination, these could have found their way to the English Midlands
When building the Ruschbahn back in 2005-6 I found these ERTL money box vehicles around 1:24 scale. Looked the part, we just put some black Gaffa tape on the roof to hide the money hole. Plenty of similar and different ones available on Ebay for not silly prices. This one een outside getting on 2 decades now.

YDo you mean something like this? This is a drawing table in 1:22.5 scale. The photo is from the Buntbahnforum.the plans - because without plans they could not build a drawing office.
