Last week, just before a short holiday on the Norfolk Broads, my partner told me that she had won a Daily Mail competition, the prize being a trip on the Cambrian Express to North Wales and hauled part way the Flying Scotsman.

No wonder she was bouncing like Tigger on speed.

The holiday is over 4 days in June. I am amazed she won as it was a text competition.

I will let you know how we get on nearer the time....
 
Congratulations. I think I spied that trip on the Steam Dreams mailer. It was an expensive one with the named loco and accommodation. No excuses for not taking in the "Little Trains of Wales". A ride behind an NGG16 Garratt on the WHL perhaps ? Max
 
Yes Max, it would be nice to travel on the WHR again.

Last did it just after it opened. Better half wants to visit Portmerion, so a day there also planned....
