Warley show photos

I spent quite a lot of time chatting round Ken and Jeff's Photos (Echills Wood corner) there were a good few there wanting an "ear 'ole".

Last month, I saw this bridge when Mizzy and I visited Barmouth, and I found this O gauge model very impressive....

Thanks to NHN Neil, I now know this to be Bradypus's Port Able.

Not sure if this gent is Nick though?

I brought some LGB 10000 straights from this stand not knowing who was exhibiting, so my apologies for not introducing myself....

There was another HOm RhB layout, this one being PC controlled.

Just before my picture, 2 trains from opposite directions entered the same loop.

However, the software detected this and applied the 'Emergency Off Stop'!

I liked the engineers train that was set back in the siding....

Finally, this Gauge 1 (but probably not radius 1) model of A4 loco, Silver Fox, caught my eye!

Although I'm known as Gizzy, some also call me the Silver Fox.

Whether it's because they think I am smooth and sleek with the ladies, well I couldn't say!

Can anyone tell me what scale/prototype Picture This was. Looks like it might be 0n30 using some adapted H0 parts (logging disconnect cars, for instanc and a "Little Joe" saddle tank loco) or perhaps US-style H0 - but those British style level crossing gates make this unlikely (?)

It's 016.5 using Anglicanised Bachmann On30 models so you were right ;)

Naa - your just going grey Gizzy.

Over the weekend of the Warley Show I was helping my good friend Mike operate his layout ( Die Murgtal Bahn ). I spent most of my time trying to stop the Road Vehicles from Crashing (not very well it has to be said). This short Vid will give you a feel for how the Faller roadway can be set up in a proper way. It is also just a bit different from all the other pictures in this thread.

Was that the one with the Bus and the Rescue Tender?

And the road works....

I just knew I should have gone!
There is always next year. Hall 5 is already booked and a deposit paid. Many of the layouts are already agreed. Trade invitations will be sent out in January.

Just a thought, and this is me not the club, how about a G Scale Central society stand at next year's show? I can't say whether we would be able to be invited but this forum does to a lot to further the hobby. Society space is limited and there is no precedent for a forum having space. I would do my best to get an invitation if we wanted a stand but I don't know how much infuence I would have. Lisa & the mods (sounds like a 60's pop group) would have to decide on whether a stand would be a good idea.

We could have some photos and a couple of locos on display, plus examples of some of the threads. And a card with the web address to give out.

That Faller roadway is fantastic im leaving space in the garden just incase i can make something work like it
Its worth checking out the airport at Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg if you want to try and avoid crashes with them

Or even the year after, I've read a reliable report that Lyd will be there in 2012.

An excellent idea Chris if they will go for it and you could ask to stick it on the end of Klein Arosa too. (The Swiss Rly Society were next to Rhatia this year and fielded lots of questions about the RhB as a result)
Especially if GSC and the Gscale society either went together or GSC was there instead as they didn't have a stand this year.
Here's my quick idea

(I would have used Mike as the figure but he couldn't see over the stand) :rolf:

Sorry Mike couldn't resist.
