The problem was with the instructions, about the way to operate the throttle. There was an error in the instruction manual, with the result that many locos went off the end of a siding, or too fast round a bend. Usually, the locos were undamaged, but the operators were rather fearful and the locos went back in their boxes. I think it may have been Brian and that group who have avidly hoovered up as many as they can buy.Yep the Hornby one was actually very good
