Wanted HO Live Steam

I should have mention I have a new Hornby that was purchased from Fleabay.But never worked.Thsnk for your speedy Reply.
 
There are people in Grmany that do HO live Steam then there is Brian Caton in UK, not sure if he is still on the go but worth a net search.

The problem was with the instructions, about the way to operate the throttle. There was an error in the instruction manual, with the result that many locos went off the end of a siding, or too fast round a bend. Usually, the locos were undamaged, but the operators were rather fearful and the locos went back in their boxes. I think it may have been Brian and that group who have avidly hoovered up as many as they can buy.

I drove one (under tuition) at one of the model fairs and it was huge fun, and a steep learning curve ;);)
 
The beeg eessue is the control - Hornby used the two rail track for control, using a different voltage from normal 00/H0 and that also put some people off.

Our dinky little 009 steamer above, just puffs along without control :clap::clap:
 
Not sure if it is in the commentary, or in the messages below the clip, but they were made by a British modeller, and he supposedly made about 40..
Makes a limited LGB run look profligate!
