Wanted ground throws

hello and thankyou for your reply ,,its an irish term, basicly i was wondering if anyone had any surplace to their requirment for sale ,,as i said the peco ones which i bought are terrible .....
The problem with the Peco ones is that the throw on Peco points is less than other G scale makes - probably due to the smaller rail profile :nod:

If you are forced to buy new from the dealership, the new design from Bachmann has met with good reviews.

Looks like quite a neat design.... I presume it's operated by throwing a lever which in the pic is partially hidden behind the red indicator disc?

As a "semi-scale" item it looks OK, and much less obtrusive than the usual G scale switch boxes.... I only suggested the Heyn ones because they look so nice, if the OP had wanted something with a proper prototypical appearance.

hi greg thanks for taking the time to reply,,i was looking at them, but i cant find a stockiest in the uk
Yeah, searched, and the ebay hits were from dealers in the US... very strange... can you get Bachmann brass track there?

Greg
They were available - they come and go.

First thing to do is to look at the Bachmann Europe website and see if they're currently available, then look for dealers like Kent Garden Railways.

Alternatively, not sure if the Tenmille ground throw is currently available - edit, yes, listed as a point lever. It is adjustable, but doesn't come with any sleeper extension parts, although there used to be a supplier in the US who used these throws and sold them with the necessary parts to connect directly to G scale points.

I believe GRS (Garden Railway Specialists in Princes Risborough, for anyone new to the hobby) do one of their own, in brass and white metal....?
