Wanted - Aristo Or Similar "barrel Circle" Of 45mm Track.....

As per the current discussions on tight circles of Feldbahn track, just wondering if anyone has one of the ultra-tight-radius "barrel circles" of track that they might be willing to part with? Don't mind paying shipping from the US if necessary.
The ideal one would be the slightly larger 31" circle of Aristocraft, but would also consider other brands/sizes....

Edit: just to be clear, I'm looking for anything SUB-R1 but still using code 332 brass, whether it be Aristo, HLW, Heyn or whatever....

Not as tight as you require, but I have a full R1 circle.....

Thanks Mike, but like almost everyone in G I have more of those than I know what to do with..... sometimes you just need something a little tighter though, I'm sure you know what I mean*...... ;)

* For running Feldbahn stock, of course... what else could I have meant? :devil:
 
R1 curves can be "pulled in" a bit to get them on a 4ft board. 11 to a circle. You would never notice anything not quite right.

Thanks "other Mike", that's actually quite useful - but I'm still after a 31" circle if I can find one, to be able to use a 3' board.....?

What will be going round them Jon? Have you considered reforming R1s to a tighter radius? I did the reverse a couple of years ago and turner 20 Aristocratic R1s into decent straights for some sidings.

Mostly Feldbahn stuff, the-other-other-Mike (sometimes there are WAAAY to many Mikes on this forum... ;) ), but just possibly something scratchbuilt on a standard LGB 4-wheel gearbox as well, hence my questions on another thread about what these will negotiate.

I'd really rather not get into trying to bend track, however simple it may be - I'd much rather buy a circle that somebody has professionally formed to the correct radius and gauge!
Hence my request for one of the ready-formed Aristo circles or something equivalent.

Does anybody know of a dealer (UK or US) who might still have one?

I went looking for them several years ago & the only supplier I could find was Hattons. Even then they didn't have a full circle in stock. I couldn't be bothered to go to the States so I gave up & went in a different direction.

If you don't have any luck Jon I'll give you an option. I've got loads of spare LGB r1s. Just done a quick calculation using my schoolboy pi rule. I reckon eight 12 inch curves would produce a circle of around 31/32 inch diameter. I have a track bender and could produce a half circle for you to experiment with if you wish.

I believe that LGB claim you can make tighter curves than R1s with their flex track. Never tried it.

Polks next gen still have some of the even tighter A11140 curves in stock. I couldn't find the A11145 anywhere.

There are two pre-made circles of track, a 21" circle ITEM #: ART11140, and a 32" circle ITEM #: ART11145.
