Unusual items on evilBay.....

Someone ought to buy them (the green one is also up on a separate auction), re-fit motors and then run them when kids you don't like (or, even better, the kids of people you don't like) come round - it'll traumatise them for life! ;)

I find Frankie Boyle funny a lot of the time, though sometimes he does stray into stuff that even MY sick and twisted sense of humour finds a little too far..... I did try watching a couple of episodes of Tramadol Nights but it was too hit-and-miss for me to persevere with; thus I didn't see whichever one had the trains sketch, I can only assume it was a Thomas parody with some kind of reference to either South American revolutions or possibly the Spanish Civil War. Either way it was probably immensely politically incorrect! :D

Somebody's put bids in!

I'm with you on that 100% Jon. I really like Frankie, but I could only stomach two episodes of his own show. Even for my sick sense of humour, it was too much. I got the impression that he was more interested in being controversial than being funny.

Anyhoo, I reckon these things will fly as far as bids are concerned. There may not be much interest from the train enthusiasts, but the TV efemora collectors will want a unique collection - even if it is utterly tasteless

Yep, reckon you're right, Mel - they're more likely to go to a TV prop collector than to one of us.

I saw FB live a couple of years ago, he's at his best when doing stand-up; classic bit was when he picked on some poor guy in the front row and commented "it's like somebody shaved a monkey and kicked it through Top Man..."
NEVER sit anywhere near the front few rows in a live stand-up gig. ;)

Agree with you completely about Tramadol Nights - it was almost as though he was trying to see how many episodes they could get screened before the channel execs panicked and canned it.

Still, it's fun to think what you could do with the locos - run them as-is without the eyes, then tell visiting kids that the goblins have stolen Thomas' eyes.... MUUUAHAHAHAHA.......

OK, I'll start taking the medication again.

Was 'earnest the engine' not there first??? Can't post it on a family forum.....

Hah, glasshopper, my Google-fu is strong today.....
Thanks Neil, I hadn't seen them before - wonderful! :rolf:

Jon.

As Stevie the steam engine might say "What a fu...fu...fu...fu...funny looking thing" :D

Well, they went for over a hundred quid each, and both to the same buyer. Wonder if it was "one of us" or a TV collector?

The sketch is in episode 5, about 2/3 of the way through - all the episode are up on the 4oD account on youtube. I like the surreal, but have to say this one ventures more into the plain bizarre. Needless to say those unfamiliar with Mr Boyle should probably exercise their discretion and not view.

I actually bid on one of the two lots (whichever it was that had the coach), but not up to the £100+ area - my limit was the value of a second hand thomas coach and some loco wheels. Given the ridiculous prices, I guess they went to a collector.

i must agree, if you want your kids to be petrified of thomas, i'd give it a complete miss. although, if they were cheap. good kitbash fodder :P
