Trying to add a new switch decoder

I am trying to add three new switch decoders (Massoth DiMAX 1-Channel Switch Decoder II) to my DCC layout and am entirely stumped.... I am operating an 800z with a wireless navigator. All firmware is current.

I am already running two 4 channel Massoth decoders which operate 8 switches (numbered 1 through 8).

The single switch comes configured as SW1 so I would have thought reprogramming CV32 (switch address) to a value of 9 would then allow me to operate a points motor as 9 and so on....

I can unlock the decoders and can read back what I have re-written so the programming is working, I am clearly not working on the right CVs. I have also tried shorting the K1, K2 jumpers although I am not sure that is necessary but the manual is a little opaque.

I have spent a number of hours looking over the content here and re-reading manuals for both the Navigator and the decoders, clearly missing something obvious.

The fact that I can throw the switch by manually shorting the jumpers and that I can read and write to the decoder makes me confident everything is functional so most likely an operator error.

Is someone able to offer assistance as to what I need to do to program these to continue my switching sequence (9,10,11....)?

CV32 is the right one to change for a new address but you may need to unlock the decoder first by changing CV15 and 16 first. Check the manual page 10.

Also probably best to configure each decoder one at a time preferably connected to your command station programming track output, and give each decoder it's own lock value (default is 242) as per manual page 10, and re-lock them when you have finished, so you don't accidentally re-address all the decoders to the same address.

Thanks idlemarvel, I have been able to successfully unlock and programme CV32 to address #9. This is where I am stumped. Are there any other configurations required on the decoder or navigator to now allow me to switch a standard Piko switch machine left and right?

OK, seems a factory reset has rectified the situation. I must have re-set something which was preventing it from working (and promptly forgot what I had done). Note to self, if you are fiddling with CV values always leave a trail of breadcrumbs.....
