Just noticed this on Grootspoor.....

The ultimate stealth purchase?

The price of 27500 Euros is WITHOUT the rolling stock, that's available separately according to the blurb. ;)

Jon.

Edit: oops, would have been better with the link....hope no-one noticed the twenty seconds it was up here without it! ;)

Dead easy, just book a Holiday n sell the House while you are away. Rest of your like will be carp, but what an engine you will have.

Ah hell, go for it. It's easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission anyway.

It's worth watching the video (click the link under "Documenten" to the right of the page on the Grootspoor link) of the layout being run at a show.... quite amazing!
Wonder what it would cost as a full package with all the locos and rolling stock as shown...... I doubt you'd see a lot of change from 75 grand or so...... ;)

Hmmm, wonder what a kidney fetches on the open market these days...? :o

One of mine gets nowt, I've zapped them. 8)

Anyway this layout is whopping eleven metres long and a mere two metres deep. You would need a hall or a megashed to play with operate it :o

Humm...
There is another station building with a loft at Brownhills West!! ??? :o :o ;) ;) ;)

Watched the video. That's some fine filming. Would like to have seen an overview however of the entire layout. One glitch I noticed at 5:55 was the quick reversal of the Pacific. I think the Fireman would have been thrown off his feet in the real world, LOL. Also, the loco with the cab at the rear of the tender is interesting.
