Trams in a garden layout

Hello everyone.
Yesterday 05th August 2026, we had a day of model tramway running on a friend’s LGB layout in Ennepetal, Germany. Reinhard, Wilfried, Kurt, and meusing Massoth Controll units
The temperatures were a bit more pleasant and we had a lot of fun. I also had a bit more time to take some photos.
I hope I’m not annoying you with them.

A new tram was tested with its self made motorbox. Tram ran in Bielefeld.


In a shadow place was parkt also a Bielfeld tram. Unknown maker of the Original one.


A Düwag sic axles tram came along. (Bielefeld)


An old Gotha tram from Dresden.


Left a freelance Loco 701, Right RNV 5626 from Mannheim.


RNV 5626 was for the first time out in a gatfrn layout.

I'm not sure, what is better the tram, or the viaduct.

Part two.

New andold on the same tracks,


RNV 5626 above, under it a Bielfeld tram.


We had a good weather, not too hot. But when the tempratures going up, we will send the sprinkler tram with its trailer.

the sprikler tram hasn't been long onto the tracks, but than the driver behind it, forgot where the break is. The Düwag had the way of wright. He stopped just in in front of the sprikler tram.


Luckely, nobody was hurt. The driver of the Bielefeld tram got suspended and had to eat a cake and drink a coffee,


Two Düwags trams, RNV 5626 was build in 1995, RHeinbahm tram 2308 was build in 1955.

We are using on this layout a Massoth system.

And again the two Düwag trams.


Bielfefeld, Mannheim and Düsseldorf.


And the driving school did their lessions, a freelance tram.


Two Düwag'S left Düsseldorf 2308 in the delivery of Wuppertal, because it was riding for ten days for testing in Wuppertal.

Part three:

This is the first low-floor-tram from Düwag. It ran in Bielefeld.


But... in the future one motor tram and one trailer will be converted to Wuppertal tram and Ennepetal tram.


It look really good and the Wuppertal tram is for me, the Ennepetal trailer will be converted to a motor tram. Both cities had'nt a trailer for that tram.

It is getting dark and the lights are swichted on.


All the other trams switched on their lights,


Wuppertal 221 on the viaduct.


I will change the decoder, because the old one is not good anymore.

You certainly had an excellent day and thank you for sharing it with us in excellent photographs and useful descriptions. It was very interesting to be able to compare the old and the new designs of tram as well s to see the wonderful workmanship that has gone into making them.

Never tire of seeing your and your friends Trams out on the line, particularly liked the 5 section Mannheim Car which gives me enthusiasm for getting on with the Nordhausen Duo that I have been threatening to build for years. I did get this thing with a view to it being one, but the scale at 16mm to the foot (1:19) is way too big which is why it remains an unfinished North Pilton 5 section kit. I had wanted it as a 3 section set!
