Alyn,
Post 45 piccies 3,5 & 6 - the green and white cars - which system is this ?

Fasinating stuff thanks for sharing. Are the Bachmann trams easy to dismantle for repainting purposes ?

Mate the red handbrake toastracks, where are they? still used?

In a word... Yes.. not that hard to dismantle, perhaps some gentle prising in some cases to break the glue. Im on my mobile internet atm so Pics are slow to load but there are some pics on the forum. I also converted an AMS San Fran Cable car to a tram...
The Bachmann Toastrack is all screwed together to get seats out. As I have said before the simplest easiest and most rewarding thing to do is get rid of the Bachmann bumpers, replace with your own and some link and pin couplers, makes an amazing transformation...
You could also look at my blog for pics... Google Trevs Tramway...

Sintra Portugal, Trev. Now, as promised in post 41, here is an end to end, tramway points are LGB radius 1 all is automatic as the points are set and left. The tram is driven through the point, and splits the point in the other direction as per tramway practice.

Hope the drawings make sense! Alyn

The masts 3/8ths upwards, also remember that many masts were splayed outwards from the tramway;- to help counter-act the tension of the span wires.

Then the points are spring loaded?

With the old Red Lion out of Stoke in the background.:thumbup:

Assorted tramway wagons, some Dutch, all easy to model.
Fascinating pictures.
That grey open wagon containing wheels seems to have an LGB track cleaning pad underneath, there really does seem to be a prototype for everything!
