Absolute genius, both ideas ! Can't believe I am still crawling around on my hands and knees. The simplest of ideas are often the last to be tried.

Yes brilliant. Thanks for the ideas - this could revolutionise track powered garden railways!

Now I've got an old cordless drill somewhere and a couple of spare bogies so all I need is a circular sander attachment.

One tip - make sure it's a very "gentle" abrasive...

Both appear to cut the mustard. I do like the German one though. But the last time I had my hand on one of those Mice things it was mains powered. Must look for a battery one and some very fine glass paper.

Personally, I dont like to be too abrasive when cleaning the track!
