Use it to insulate the cables:bigsmile::bigsmile:

Ketchup ............ we used to put it on the gears of 0 gauge locos good lubricant but a bit smelly , but then someone invented KY jelly.

careful Steve!!

There was an article in a mag some time back that listed lubricants used in the model railway & Aircraft sector and KY Jelly was listed, as being useful where a non greasy, lubricant is required and one that wont affect some types of plastic gears, never tried it myself of course!!

I'd be interested in how you wired it in. I have a TCL and just acquired a Massoth XL board. I've heard the plug and play LGB boards have a tendency to blow on these so assume the 3 amp Massoth would be more robust.

Hi Rik Used the new Massoth 8 amp relay the same as I usefor my Ge44 11 to operate the pantographs

It's not plug and play because of the space you can't use the adaptor board. Also the relayneeds about 15 volt to operate which couple onto the light circuit so it means either replacing the 5 volt bulbs with 24 volt or placing a resistor in line. The flashing lights I replaced with 3mm flashing orange leds and placed a resistor on A5 out put. Keith wasn't too boothered about varing the speed of the cleaner head so I left it at full track voltage. It now operates only when going forward and only when the lights are on. Hope this helps

I also like the veterinary nail clipping tool on the right side!
Didn't know your locos had nails?!?!?
Northerners - Ketchup and nail clippers! And they only operate on black marble?
Teehee!

I now have an operating track cleaner.
Many thanks to Philbahn for all the effort and at half the price of a new board.:bigsmile::bigsmile:
It was amazing how much crud had been deposited from tree and flower pollen since I last used it.:-

Mine has a moustache so why shouldn't it have nails as well
The clippers are good for stipping the insulation off wires
