Great! I love these videos. Just out of curiosity how many 'takes' were needed for the crane to drop the tanker exactly on to the track?

I commented on this in another video and almost did again wit this video, then I remembered that the crane is filmed lifting the object from the rails and then the shot is spliced in reversed.

Mind you, having said that, the whole thing may have been done right way round, as it were, this time with a single take!
 
Hi, You got it the first time! Well done! To get the tanker to sit onto the rails we filmed the crane lifting the tanker then reversed the film in the edit. We only needed to do this once and it worked fine the first time. It took lots more goes to lift the tanker from the flat bed truck and move it over above the track. The remote control for the crane is infrared and needs to be close to the crane so it was tricky. Anyway, all good fun and we had a nice day in the garden as well. It took a long time to clear away afterwards though!
