Hi f
View attachment 337540olks, I've just bought this 12V 'interlock relay' on the advice of ge_rik (thanks btw). Unfortunately, my electronics & jargon knowhow doesn't extend to wiring it up for the purpose of operating an 'up & back' cable car mechanism. It came with no instructions. The board would be operating the tiny motor/gearbox shown earlier. Can anyone help, please??
Hi
Yes, most of these modules come without instructions but there are sometimes wiring diagrams on the listing which help shed some light.
You are going to need two circuits - one to trigger the relay board and the other to power the motor.
Trigger circuit
You'll need a 12v supply for this then two micro-switches, one at the top of the cable car run and the other at the bottom. Position the switches so the cable car will press them when it reaches the ends of its run. As you can see, the positive from the power supply is connected to one side of the micro switches and the output from the switches then goes to the module input connectors X01 and X02. Make sure the jumper (the white dot in the diagram) is from the middle pin to the H pin.
The Motor Circuit
The supply for this side of the circuitry needs to be whatever works best for your motor. If it's 12v then you could use the same supply you are using for the triggering circuitry.
Hopefully, the above diagram is self explanatory, but if not, let us know and we'll guide you through it.
