Many of you may be familiar with full size Thomas reproductions
Probably the best looking one is the Mid Hants conversion of a hunslet (J94) 0-6-0st
They went on to convert another Hunslet 0-6-0st into the less well known member of the Thomas/Awdry gang into one of the Scottish twins Donald and Douglas
This loco now on its second boiler ticket has had further modifications and has moved to the Ribble Railway and has recently been on loan to the East Lancashire Railway
It can be seen if you google Hunslet 2890 (its build number)
Anyway a year ago I picked up a secondhand Bachmann Thomas and in the last month I set about remodelling it based on the 0-6-0 tender engine now running as 2890
It isn't a spot on model detail /dimension wise but does I think it captures the spirit of the model
Here's a couple of images
PS great shame if it is true Bachmann are pulling out of large scale Thomas etcIMG_6161.JPG

A very good likeness indeed and it stands by itself as a very smart model.

What is the source, please, of the numerals? And are letters also available?

Hi
The transfers were from Fox who have a huge range of railway and other related numerals; lining; and railway lettering
I think the ones I used were intended for 3 1/2inch gauge LMS locos
Thanks for the positive comments
Chris
