Further to seeing the brilliant Viaduct Gregh from Australia built on his Sandstone and Termite layout from Hebel blocks i just had to have a go.

First the easy part take one block :bigsmile:

Both arches required a lot of filing to get them rounded and smooth

Lots of detailing required i think maybe even lights , but for now i will settle for a bit of load testing :thumbup:

Very neat Steve - like it.
For info:
You can get thermalite (or Celcons) in 4, 6 or 8 inch widths - all 8 inch high x 17.5 long.

Cheers Gregh, the wall along the top and the pillars are the bits cut out from the arches , waste not want not :bigsmile:
 
Just remember that themalites and celcons are not waterproof and will soak up moisture, in a sharp frost they will split if they are wet.

They need a coat of something like Thompsons waterproofer.
