After a long period of Winter maintenance the Sandwell Valley Railway is now up and running again - off out now to do the ballasting.

Lovely video, thanks for posting :D

Nice and very neat railway.

very nice keith, looks great.. 8)

Some serious maintenance there, but the results are well worth it - looks absolutely fantastic :D

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I've replaced all of the ballast today and after a few small snagging jobs I should be able to get round to the serious business of filming Thomas and his friends next adventure.

Love the still with the Caledonian over the Lyn - lovely.

Lovely railway!

Nice video - and a serious amount of effort expended. Great job!

Really nice video with impressive "before and after" scenes. But the trains are the best ;D

Yet more great comments!!!!! Please stop it, I'm blushing.
As for the trains being the best part, for me it is the setting for the railway, i.e. the garden, that has to come first. The pleasure derived from seeing a great model is completely spoiled if it's running through an uncared for landscape.

I bought the sound card from Peter Spoerer at the 16mm show a couple of years ago where he was demonstrating it. I think it is a MyLocoSound card like the one at http://www.peterspoerermodelengineers.com/90275/info.php?p=4.
I've purchased a lot of stuff from Peter and have always found his customer service second to none. I've used his plug 'n' play system on all of my battery conversions.
