The South Bucks Railway Co. First runs after trackwork and the rain we've had

We've had a load of heavy rain here over the past couple of months, and some low temperatures - nothing unusual, but not exactly what we expect. This caused a need for some track repairs which took place last weekend. So this weekend, as today was sunny and warm, we did some running.

As you can see, the first train was a passenger working.

Quite frustrating as despite a lot of track cleaning, nothing seemed to want to work well for quite some time.

A good deal of fettling took place, which as the day wore on produced some nice results.

...was just posting the last photos and got kicked off the server AGAIN!

Anyway, the last trains of the day were run, and a good time was had by all - well, me actually!

Thanks Paul, but there's a HUGE amount of work to be done this summer with new track laying and stuff. Now, all we need is a hurricane to wash the lot away.......

Well at least the ground isn't shaking here yet but my inbuilt detector says we are going to get a doozie soon..........................
