The "Old" W&LLR

Hobo

Narrow Gauge Railways
Hi guys, I thought I'd share these as my first photo's posted on the Forum ~
I'm currently in the middle of changing the Westwood & Loscoe Light Railway from a basic oval into a figure of eight, both to increase the length of run in the limited space I have, and to create some more "photo opportunity" locations.
The following photo's are a record of sights (and sites) that no longer exist after the changes.................

The Alley.... This scene remains, but the line now curves to the right instead of disappearing into the sunset !

Once the back looks more like a garden than a re-enactment of the Somme, I'll be able to get some up-to-date comparison photo's taken and posted for anyone interested.

Fantastic photos very realistic looking love the old time black & white one

Lovely lovely lovely photos and not one but to Beyer Peacocks - you're a very lucky man. I look forward to seeing and hearing more about your line :)

Thanks very much for the responses chaps, very encouraging :)

"............. not one but two Beyer Peacocks - you're a very lucky man."
Luck did indeed play a major role in their arrival! (Before everyone thinks otherwise, the W&LLR is very much a "budget" railway ~ my entire loco fleet is second-hand!)
I bought the Accucraft Countess from one of our local group members, handing over the readies, saved over several months, at the last 16mm AGM at Stoneleigh. I also part exchanged my "Baldrig" & "Mortimer" for the Pearse Earl at the same show!

Anyhow, while I'm in nostalgia mode, here's a quick trip round the old line via a few more pic's..........

Do you have a link to the flickr album as my iphone won't display the image links, just question marks :(

Ooh! Never done this before and my "link buttons" are disabled (anti spam quarantine procedure?). Anyhow, hope this works, if it does, they're in here

NOPE, I can't do it but if you really want to see 'em and you search for Gregs trains in Flickr, you'll find 'em:(

Super pictures , the school train looks interesting but would not be too popular with the wife I fear.

Oops! Sorry Garry, I didn't realise I'd posted that photo, I only looked at the thumbnail ~ I'll replace it with a more discreet angle!
EDIT: Done :)

Riddings tunnel, Codnor wood and Loscoe station, with names like that you must live near me........
Great photos btw........:thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks very much to everyone for the kind comments, I'll be sure to keep you posted on the "re-build".
Special shout to "NETTY", thanks for the PM, but due to the anti-spam restrictions I'm not able to send or reply to you yet ~ if you'd like to PM me again with your Email address I'll get back to you via that.

I can't post links yet either but if you'd like to type wllr(dot)webs(dot)com into your web browser of choice, (replace the "dot" with ".") you should find my Westwood & Loscoe Light Railway website - due for an update, but I'm contactable via that :)
