The Foxdale & St.Marks "Peveril" in steam

Excellent 'chuff', I love it.

Daft question no: 2,349.... Due to the larger diameter wheels on 'Peveril', is it difficult to control? I ask because on the vid the beat of the chuff was about the same as I run my Caradoc at, but she doesn't cover the ground like Peveril does!
I'm not a scale speed freak but Peveril did seem to run at quite a lick.

Having run a coule of Peverils, I can say they are not difficult at all to control at low speed - I presume Mike was trying to video and drive at the same time! My Caledonia is very docile, the cylinders and valvegear are the same. Cale's wheels are pretty big too, they hide up in the tanks though!

Super film of a super looking loco :thumbup: What is she like to lived with , What sort of run time do you get out of her ?

Sorry for the delay in reply, been out for a pint, or several.
In answer to the questions, NHN2 has nailed with the remarks about driving and filming. Peveril is very controllable indeed, but the new bijou F&St.M is a bit bendy and a good slug on the reg is required to move the loco from a standing start, especially on the corners, easing back rapidly thereafter, and with only two hands to do this and aim the camera some allowances have to be allowed for 8|
Running time is around half an hour, but the water runs out before the gas, so a top up or two is in order.
Otherwise Peveril is a real star performer, my only minor gripe, and I was fully aware of this before parting with any cash, and it didn't stop me, is that there is r/c on the reg only. A servo on the reverser would have been perfect, but no worries.

Just testing with a picture
