The Butt Ugly Creation.

Trainman

All narrow gauge and industrial railways,
I have a fasination with "odd" and funny looking wagons. I found a picture on the net of a forestry wagon (and don't know where to re look for it) that fasintaed me. I thought it quite "quaint" and modellable. Whilst I had to modify it slightly I decided a LGB Feldbahn chassis would suit the job. It is to run with a rake of other feild railway type wagons and will make a fitting tail-end charlie for them.

Very "Cute" mind you I think you'd better hide it from any Pikeys in your neibourhood!!!

On talking to my mate who saved the picture it turns out to be a dunny car! I find this curious because as well as dumping your worldly goods you can also double as a brakeman. Now there is a way of getting out of your staff during what could be termed as unproductive worktime.:rolf::rolf:

Well every car has a purpose, ironic that your title had one correct word regarding its use

Friend from Wellington suggested the following use for the wagon- and might I say it sounds even plausable too.

I quote" I think I?ve seen these before.
This is a model of the Icelandic mother in law coach.
None of these survived as they were always at the rear of the train and ,mysteriously, often became disconnected at the crest of some very high hills with sharp corners at the bottom.
Unfortunately, in all cases, there were either very steep cliffs on these corners or very cold water.
They were usually full and the door was always locked, for safety purposes.
Search parties were always sent out, but the Icelandic Postal Service was notoriously slow, so all the search and rescue members often didn?t get advised for up to three weeks.
Sadly, Icelandic law wouldn?t allow the search party to start till they had a quorum.
I hope this shines some light on the history of your new model.
I could suggest , for authenticity, 30 or more figurines be fitted. To show the absolute comfort always bestowed on said inlaws."

Looks like a rail mounted public urinal to me, but perhaps I have a fixation
