Lots of sales goodies, N, TT, OO, O, but in my brief excursion didn’t see any G. Also a box full of Minic Motorway spotted under one table.C9A39F88-0786-40C5-BC78-C68ABCF5D237.jpeg3C119032-2288-4E7D-A7F6-68D491B7E04F.jpeg

My camera didn’t venture into the other areas. The large multiple track Trix Twin layout was running well on Vono boards. The Triang Super 4 combined Minic Motorways layout was yet to arrive, as well as a few others.

Bit of confusion in opening times. Early entry from 0930, normal entry at 1030, £6.
Plenty of free parking. Cafeteria. Plus the adjacent Motor Museum

Mizzy and I drove across to Gaydon from Cambridge and we had a most enjoyable time at the show.

Very different to the usual exhibitions that we've been to before.

Spoke to Brixham and James, and viewed their layout. James explained how the cars are constructed, a standard chassis and then a body shell. The De Lorean from 'Back to the Future' and Nightrider are from kits adapted to fit the chassis.

Mizzy owns an old Tri-ang set from when she was little, so we had a look at some of it on various stalls at the show. She now has enhanced her knowledge of Tri-ang and Hornby-Dublo from her childhood.

On the way home, we visited a nearby national Trust Property, Farnborough Hall, before calling in at Tony's Trains next to Hilmorton Locks.

We had a brew and a bun at the cafe by the canal-side there, before we headed up to Barby Nurseries. Unfortunately, the LGB layout there is now long gone.

A good day out indeed....

A lovely spot, although I do wonder how he is getting on there, it's quite isolated and hard to get to. There's no passing traffic, apart from boats.
He does a few shows and advertises too.

There was another couple there as well as one chap on his own, so plenty of custom before closing time....

Save the date for the 2024 show....Saturday June 1st 10:30 - 16:00. Same venue as 2023, Gaydon Motor Museum Warwickshire

I don't have the full list of layouts yet, but will post nearer the date. Unlikely to be the G Road and Rail again. But a mix from N? up to G1. With specialist 'traders' selling collectable model railways.

You appear to give more information than the Website does, do you know if the 00 Live Steam Hornby Society will be present please?

I’ll enquire about the OO live steam. It may be a lone TCS member who has a layout running the Hornby product, rather than the Hornby live steam club.

Another plug, the TCS has a smaller show in Leicester on Saturday March 16th. Including Faller O, Hornby 3 rail O gauge, German TT, Tyco US1 trucking with trains, vintage monorails, Triang with some Wrenn. Plus trade and refreshments.
