TCS decoder installation questions

I haven't fitted any of these decoders before, I'm presently installing a 1600 WOW501 Steam version for a mate in a Bachmann C19.

Rather than risk any damage I'd like confirmation of the terminology of some connections. Does the TCS "12V+ Common" equate to Bachmann's "Decoder + Positive output"? If so I assume Bachmann's "Train Bus +" and "Train Bus -" aren't used. I intend connecting the TCS "Cam Wire" terminal to Bachmann's "Chuff/Motion/sensor input", will this give the appropriate pulse?

Without seeing BOTH sets of paperwork..
I agree with you Neil..

You may find the 'chuff' to be erratic.. It is a mechanical (wiper on cam) system, rather than a hall-effect device. - You get contact 'bounce' and multiple triggers.
It can 'wear in' a little, you can live with it, or use a 'de-bounce circuit to deal with the problem.

Oh, I fear there may be a misunderstanding. According to my documentation they are optical sensors.

Having removed one cylinder head the loco in question matches the latter diagram

Not sure if it was a 'Lyn' or a Shay, but definitely mechanical in my case..

Not sure if the TCS will be similar to Massoth, but triggers and chuff are WRT -ve, and not common +ve as lights..
