Surprised at the price this achieved

I was tempted but decided it was too much and not really in my line (not load you would often find on a coastal branch line!)

Never cease to be amazed at the greed and gullibility to be found on Ebay.

However if you want a real bargain that will be of great use then this has to be well worth it as a BIN at only £1.50 plus reasonable Post if the listing is genuine. I had one of these ages ago and it now features as quite a few different buildings in my line. The construction method makes it extremely adaptable to differing options. In fact when I moved from Hemel to the Nits it was completely remastered to differing options.

Playmobil Victorian Mansion 5300 5301 5305 FURNITURE & PEOPLE ~ choose parts ~ | eBay

EDIT,
aha reading it again it is choose parts so may not be the complete thing. Hm genuine! Definately to good to be true.

I bought one of those with extras for £50 a couple of years ago.

The one that beats me is the Peco G45 flexi-track, someone selling 'broken' boxes for more than a new full one, sometimes by twice as much per length.

I can't see the point unless there are mugs out there that only want an exact number of pieces and not keep a spare or two. I'd rather buy a full new box and use just one out of it, than play that silly game. It'll always come in for alterations or replacements.

I continue to have my jaundiced view about ebay and some sellers.

I just won another set of figure. When looking at the bidding history it says this:-

private listing - bidder identity protected £ 3.00 14 Sep 2018 at 9:51:14PM BST--

If 2 people bid the same amount, the first bid takes priority. Also, you can retract your bid only under certain circumstances.

I don't know what it is but something doesn't seem right. I have lost at least 6 auctions to this "private bidder" even when I am the only other bidder. Strange that when I put my suspicions to ebay I start to win!

Perhaps I am just too cynical.

Everything on ebay is worth excatly what the next buyer pays for it..

I don't like the Private bidder system. I like to know how many I'm bidding against. It doesn't actually matter who they are, just how many of them, and when they drop out of the bidding. Perhaps adding a number to them would be an improvement.

Ebay "bargain" - If you don't like don't buy it, I have just "won" a LGB Train Carriage Blue - Austrian Dining Car £19:00 yet I have seen similar go at £35.00, I know what I thought it was worth (including p&p) placed my bid and won!!!

Probably people 'sniping'. - Adding there one and only bid in the last couple of seconds of the auction. Why declare your interest when you dont need to, just pushes the price up.
