Hi Dan

I haven't used either of the others, but the keyfob version was the one I bought for the shots use in my W&ARR #1 footage (see link below)..... it worked pretty well on board and on a tripod!
I now have three, one of which doesn't have that nuisance date stamp

in case you don't accept the signatures:-

Best of luck

I don't have the nanny cam but I have similar versions of the other two. From my experience, the best results come from the cheapest - the self contained keyfob type of camera.

On my list of things to purchase. available on ebay for AU$8 !!!!!!!! BUT when in HK do as the locals do, Son tells me they go for around HK$8 ea ie AU$1 at the markets.... I'll be there in March next year maybe I'll bring back a dozen, probably cheaper by the dozen .... There is one for sale in a camera shop not far from me and it has a price tag of $89.90... yeah as if who would pay that much???

The wireless camera seems to work better when it's in a fixed position - my version doesn't take kindly to being mobile. The signal is a bit erratic and hence the video is nowhere near as good quality as from the keyfob. You also need to cart your laptop out into the garden to act as a receiver whereas the keyfob is completely self contained.

As indicated, the time/date stamp can be irritating but Gregh on the forum here has found a way of removing it with a freebie program. See posting #70

Interesting, about the cameras. I've seen your video before. Enjoyed it very much. Very good quality I might add.

Thanks Dan
I never ceased to be amazed at the quality of the video which this tiny gadget produces. You'll notice also that it's very responsive to light levels, auto balancing as it goes in and out of the shade. The sound quality isn't bad either - you'll notice at this point ........

....... it captures the song of the garden's resident robin.

The robin (or maybe now son of robin) is very concerned about my welfare - here's a video where he kept warning me about the presence of our cat (now sadly departed).

One day, when I was working in the conservatory which I use as a workshop, he flew in for a quick chat (or should that be tweet) before flying out again.

Now would that be a British Robin? I'm not a bird watcher but Robins here are quite different in appearance.

Yes, the sound is amazing in your video.

British Robin Red Breast.............OOOOO Am I allowed to say that? at least I know it's not a Blue Tit!!!

Which is strange really, as Robins existed in the Old World long before St. Brendan, Columbus or the Pilgrim Fathers migrated to the New!
