Your pocket watches will all drift out of time eventually but Big Ben still remains perfectly correct at least two times per day... :)
Therefore, if you don't wind up your pocket watch, it will be as accurate as Big Ben. Which incidently is the bell, not the clock.

And is only accurate by balancing old pennies and other coins on the mechanism. I thought everyone new Big Ben was the bell (second one, they broke the original installing it and even cracked the modern one and needed a lighter hammer - could be where PhilP's lumphammer went!
Right, I think the thread has drifted well off the path so I will give over, cheers guys :)

And I thought everyone read the beginning of the thread prior to making ambiguous claims comparing a walk in theft of convenience to targeted burglaries of high priced jewelry and art to order for a paying clientele. There is barely any comparison. :)

Just in case the loco does show up, I've added a pic below. I've also been given a very clear image from the RH CCTV system.

I tried an online reverse image search for the loco but the only hits my software returned were legitimate. (Ie; various pics of the loco that appeared on varied websites, including social media sites asking people to look out for it.)

Lovely looking engine, eye catching so unless it's never to see the light of day, or it gets repainted, it should easily spotted at a show or meeting

If I say what I am thinking I will break several forum rules.

Suffice it to say, I hope the goods are recovered and the lovely people who stole them are punished.
