I like this time of year as the steam shows up well and the garden takes on a very green look the moss is constantly wet so grows like crazy!

Minimans, It's even colder here although I'm only an hour or two south of you. The high today only got up to 59 F. I had some work to do in the garden this afternoon, and almost had to come into the house to change from short sleeves to long sleeves. I forced myself to tough it out, however, and was able to get some of the roses pruned. Still lots more to go.

BTW, you could solve the excess leaf problem by getting a snow plow for one of your locos. You could just plow the leaves away.

Glen, where are you located in Michigan? I'm originally from SE Michigan and still get back about twice a year to visit the relatives. When I was last there, in October, the fall colors were at their peak and it was just beautiful.

It got so cold here that I finally had to turn on the house furnace!

Yes, I made it across, but I was traveling and was about three weeks later crossing than the rest of you lot.
