Sprowston and Norwich open day

The Raglan Hall team visited Georges last weekend for a running day. George was a very active GSC member in the past, but now concentrates more on full size steam engines! I took my 66 with matching hoppers for a run.

In the event the Hoppers became the main train of the day with assorted engines taking a turn. Here Bachmann No12 ( Battery powered ) has a go.

Track powered No11 als had a turn. This was the first time either engines have been out on a visit.

George is seen lighting up his new live steamer he got for his recent 18th Birthday.

We were surprised when the Edrig hauled the entire rake of hoppers without any struggle. A powerful and sure footed engine.

Whilst Edrig wasnt needing it, No11 decided to park in the shed.

A couple of the Raglan Hall fleet of trams had an afternoon run, The Hersheys with a suitable light tail load.

Two of the Fundenhall scratch built engines attended. The Met loco is a regular, but the French style Electric was only finished this year and on its first trip out.

All in all a very good day out and as usual George's mum kept us well supplied with tea and cakes.

The Met loco is named Sherlock Holmes, and is constructed from old christmas cards ! This is a photo taken on an earlier visit that shows the loco off better. It runs on Playmobile power bogies.
