If someone is familiar with disassembling Spreewald 2074 and is willing to share any insights, I'd appreciate.

I just received one and I started taking it apart so I can install a decoder.

I am having difficulty getting the cab base off. Before I break anything, I thought I'd reach out.

I unscrewed 4 screes that were holding the cab base. It can raise it a little a bit but it is binding on something.

The exploded diagram suggests that the cab base/side tanks is attached to the bolier moulding with two screws, so have you detatched the boiler yet?

I did see those in the diagram previously but could not find them on the loco. I will look again more carefully.
