Looks like its doing what it says on the box Chris

Looks good Chris :thumbup:Looks like you've had more snow than us only had 1-2cm last night and thats nearly all gone now .

Great video too :thumbup:Might sound like a silly question but how do you clean the track before you run your snow plow as my track is very dirty under the snow do you use a battery powered loco ?

This is track powered and I did give the track a very quick wipe over last week when I heard snow might be on the way. With the weather being just a tad warmer than of late everything ran well. I did try running a train on Sunday but it was so cold that ice formed on the rails as soon as the snow was cleared.

Brilliant video Chris

That's really great Chris.

Is the plough powered too or is it just propelled by the loco?

I have one half-built now and I am not sure whether it will work as a propelled unit.

The plough isn't powered but it is full of stones so it is very heavy. It also has metal wheels. It only derailed once during snow clearing.

Both items were acquired secondhand this year - £107 for the SD45 and £45 for the snowplough. Quite a good value combination in my opinion.

Chris that is fantastic- and what value too. I really like that loco- really muscular lookning! brilliant brilliant.

Hope we have snow here in Oxfordshire before winters done so I can try too... Makes me wonder if i should have built my playmobil 0-4-0 one when you have one that looks 10x better for £45!

Tried runing trains a few days ago but it was so cold ice formed on the track as soon as the snow was cleared. That ice of course stops track powered locos straight away. It was a bit warmer today so I got out there again. With snow this deep the ploughing was hard work but eventually manage to do a bit of running.
