Do there exist smaller curves then R1? The must visually and technicallybe compatible with LGB .
It is for an inside maquette.

Thanks in advance!

Aristo-Craft make two smaller diameter circles of track.
A11140 is a 20" dia. circle and
A11145 is a 31" dia, circle (which is made principally for encompassing barrels at Christmastide.)
They would be technically compatible with LGB but not visually so.

Bachmann UK, the importer, lists the 31" as in stock but not the 20" version. A good many dealers sell for less than the price shewn on the Bachmann web site. It is worth remembering that sleepers on real railways are not always the same in some sections of track: that, however, depends on the place and era you wish to model.

Thanks that looks ideal! How big is the difference between sleepers? Do comparison shots exist?

Get some R1 (cheap as chips), remove them from the sleepers , bend tighter, cut the webs on the inside of the sleepers and re-thread. You'll need to cut the inner rail to length, but you'll have tighter LGB curves.
I've just straightened some to r5 and even less of a curve, dead easy! :D

That also looks great. What is the diameter of a R0 circle? And would I also need 12 track pieces for a full circle?
