That is really coming along nicely, very impressive indeed. I can see that some of my buildings may be getting re-roofed later on, it's such a great effect, like everyone else, I can't wait to see it finished.
Steve, perhaps the reason you're not totally happy with the floor is that it looks a little too regular. When boarding a full size floor they start with a long piece, and then add from the next length to finish off that run, the remainder of that second piece is then the start of the next run and so on, giving an irregularity to the joins.
It's still looking great, and few people will look that closely at the floor.
Looking good Steve - been keeping an eye on this right from the start. A bit miffed about the roofing - if I had known you were good at that I'd have held off doing my cottage roof but, then I saw the block paving! I've a mind to pave my drive (about seventy square metres!).... but seriously, a cracking job.
Oh aye Steve, that looks a lot better. The original balcony looked a bit more aircraft control tower, but the porch looks great. I'm sure the signalman will appreciate it too. Like my mate once said, any Porch in a storm .
Being an ex Box Worker (Southern area) most of the handrails around the front of the boxes I worked in (if they had them) were about or below knee height when one stood on the walk board. (Health and Safety etc was not about when they were built). Most of them where not at the same level as the box or landing floor. Most you stepped out of a window to reach the walk way and there was very little head clearance when stood outside.
Sorry to say but your first attempt was looking a little large but you had put alot into it, I didn't want to knock it.
