Ianto Hughes arrived for work as duty supervisor for Gooey goods yard and interchange nice and relaxed this morning. Sunday's are always pretty slow paced on the WGLR and the goods service from Abermule wasn't due to arrive until about 11.30. Ianto left his office as soon as he heard the distant sound of an approaching loco ........... but wait ........ it didn't sound like a Dean Goods or a pannier tank???????????????????
And then this appeared!!!!!!
We had a West Mids open day nearby, so my mate Martin came to us first to pose his live steam gauge 3 Brittania OLIVER CROMWELL on my small stretch of G3 track. Here is Ollie with some of my Thomas conversion goods wagons.
Plenty of posing had to take place. Ollie with WGLR No.1 alongside on the raised narrow gauge siding.
And posing with the more usual motive power in Gooey yard.
We had in mind to pose the Britt with the parcels van in the interchange platform, but there was a problem with this plan .......... the loco was too big to fit the platform, let alone adding stock to it.
