"I'm thinking of building a couple of 32mm gauge sidings on this making a facility for off loading granite into canal barges, the lines disappearing towards the quarries under the bridge."Good plan, but could the quarries be behind the observer rather than under the bridge?I fear even a short driver of that little diesel could bang his head on the bridge unless the photo is deceptive.

Looks good Mel, a garden railroad is never completed is it!. A pity I never made to Exeter I would have enjoyed meeting you.
Now that my principal model company (Aristo-Craft) has ceased supplying the UK in its present form (hopefully the new company will have some form of association with Bachmann) I have wondered about another outline and your extra gauge has reminded me of this. I recently got a book about the late Col. Stephens and his railways. Plenty of scope there I guess for a railroading adventure.
