Oh, but that would make much too much sense now, wouldn't it? I suspect he wants to keep us all confused.

I just hate it when looking on UK ebay - "doesn`t post to Ireland" or, "may not post to Ireland". Why on earth not?
Not a level playing field this European union (let alone the Postal Union, of which, Ireland doesn`t seem to be a part of).

And don´t even get me started on "Doesn´t post to France", which is considered part of the Ebay Third World, apparently.

Ah, well, grumble ye may, but he does post to France & Eire.
But not Germany or Guernsey - maybe he got them mixed up....
and while we're chucking petrol on the barbie...
He will post to Australia but not New Zealand.....
;D ;D ;D

Yes - but what is he selling? ;D ;D ;D ;D

It makes no difference what he is selling, most people wont be able to get it sent to them anyway. ::)

I cannot find the post, should have saved it, but he's selling "G" scale train stuff.

Li-po batteries by air 8) :'(

Surely it's up to a vendor to decide not only who he sells to, but where he is willing to post out to. Lots of sellers will not mail overseas, where they have suffered losses due to all sorts of reasons that have resulted in loss of goods, or even worse reclaims for goods "supposedly" lost in transit. We do not post overseas at all, due entirely to past losses and incurred expense. Ireland being one of the places I will never knowingly post to or order from. My partner closed her Ebay/Paypal accounts over such an incident. Most of us who restrict postage to the UK mainland only, do so on the basis of our personal past experience. Blame this on the bad actions of a few punters and Ebay's weighted support in favour of the appalling behaviour of some buyers of second hand goods. Many countries do not have acceptable tracked transit and goods signed for upon receipt capabilities that Ebay/Paypal will accept. The old adage that "A fool and his money are soon parted" has never been more true than when dealing with some of the buyers/sellers who infest Ebay.

Well you have certainly drawn a line in the Parochial sands of the UK with that statement. I have several golden rules the first is never send anything of value without a signature being required at the other end and the second is never send anything of value uninsured....
I like eBay, I mean where else can I get 18650 li-ion batteries free because the seller is selling "fake" ones?

So I won't be able to purchase anything off of you then Roy?

Part of Ireland's problem is that we don't have a Postcode system - although it has been long promised (but not yet delivered - pun intended).

I have only ever had one problem (non-arrival) with goods purchased from the UK and that was nothing to do with ebay.

Yes the seller has the right to sell to whom he wants "an offer to treat".

I just think that some sellers need a bigger barrel of tar (if the brush will last out).
