I see Rob Cooper continues to sell off his dad's locos. Unlike the previous offerings, which were all gas fired, this one is a coal fired loco based on Accucraft running gear. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110831415...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_507wt_1344
The reserve wasn't met.

Incidentally, the final chapter of the Sabre Steam saga was published in the London Gazette Issue 823472 on the 21 February 2012. Page 1455
"COMPANIES ACT 2006 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, PURSUANT TO SECTION 1000(5) OF THE COMPANIES ACT 2006, THAT THE NAMES OF THE UNDERMENTIONED COMPANIES HAVE BEEN STRUCK OFF THE REGISTER. SUCH COMPANIES ARE ACCORDINGLY DISSOLVED AS FROM THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE. THE FIRST NOTICE OF INTENDED DISSOLUTION OF THESE COMPANIES WAS PUBLISHED AT LEAST 98 DAYS AGO.

Looks well done to me. I have the first Sabre Steam Kathryn David Cooper produced and it's nicely made. I visited his workshop 2 weeks before he died to collect it and the place was immaculate and well organised.

It does seem strange that this loco is advertised as 16mm gauge, bit of a school boy errror really.

It's possibly a loco started by Dave Cooper and finished by Rob Cooper. It has Rob Cooper's trade mark crooked chimney.

The e-Bay listing says "Scale (Gauge)" so I've no problem with it being described as 16mm because that's the scale - 16mm = 1ft i.e. 1/19th scale. Edrig chassis can be regauged so they can run on 32mm or 45mm.

That does look wonky, hadn't looked at all the ebay pics. Paint job looks ok though. The boiler also looks like it has a Belpaire firebox and a much larger firehole than the standard Sabre boiler. It looks like a one off to me. I'm sure I asked David about using an Accucraft power unit but he said that there was some problem with using them, possibly Accucraft couldn't supply them in the required numbers at the correct time or something along those lines, I can't remember exactly what he said.
