I see "Mr Piko" is at the controls as usual - "They are all MY locos, and I'm going to drive ALL of them...!" ;)

Seriously, it's a nice looking model - not exactly a pretty loco, but then few diesels are - will certainly think hard about getting one of these. :)

With the very large hood, might be a good candidate for onboard battery conversion?

Jon.

I actually really like that.

Any idea of cost?

if its as good as the br64.. it will be brilliant

Spur-G-News.de has some information in German with pictures. If you look at the 5th picture from the top it looks like the available space inside is limited.

Looks like it could be just weight. Batteries will replace some of this if removed but I doubt will come near to the weight of that lump in there. Depends what you will use it for I guess, but wheels slipping is better than gears stripping ;)

Nice with good looking wheels, interesting to see how it runs in Soiled (not dirty) Track but Slow Service.

Great subject for a G Scale loco (another to add to the fantasy wish list). Back in a former life, we had a lovely old 1940 vintage O&K V36 in Rheindahlen. It was named after one of the Officers Commanding 79 Railway Squadron, 'Monty' Poyntz, whose name always seemed so appropriate! I think it is now in a German railway museum.

Strange, I'm not really a diesel sort of chap, in a railway way, but I found my self saying "that's nice" :o How strange indeed :-\

According to the 3rd picture down driver training is included! :P

RRP 300 Euro, available end of the month. Plenty of scope for adding detail parts... Made in Germany.

There are some interesting figures on that page: turnover +8%, in Germany +15% and they claim that G scale in the US is doing well for them.

Looks great.
Nothing as toyish looking as the USA "outline" models in gaudy paint schemes being inflicted on the American market.
The V 36 will make a good demo loco for me.
