Having read the thread on Android devices as throttles, I downloaded the Rocrail program. After a bit of cursing and swearing I finally got the program to talk to the controller and move a loco. I have only tried manual control but at some point I'll try automatic and see what happens. The only problem with that is I think I need some sort of feed back sensor and as yet I don't have any. When I get a chance I'll put some details on here.

So far, I've put the loco roster into the program and part of the track layout. I have programmed the point motors but at the moment I cannot find how to change the throw direction for them. In the end I changed the wiring on the point motor to get the throw direction required. I don't have a mouse for my laptop so I have to control things with the glide pad. It's a bit nerving with the throttle control.
I don't think this is something that I will use long term but it is interesting to see how it works.
