Hey All, my little boy got a vintage playmobil 'LGB' trainset for christmas (he keeps eyeing up my bachmann 1:20.3 loco's but he will have to be abit older to play with those!).

He is loving it but struggles putting the trucks/loco back on the track without help. I believe LGB do a rerailer but as I have a 3d Printer I was wondering if anyone has printed one for G gauge that they can share?

Thanks in advance,

I have a feeling that I have seen files for one on ‘Thingiverse’ , you may have to try several different searches to find it, but I’m sure there is one there somewhere,
cheers

I printed re-railers for 00, but I think that the bed size might be a limitation for G Scale. I will have a look.

Or this is a more attractive solution...

I think Daniel is referring to one of these

However the tram track inserts make a great railing system as well, just plonk vehicle on the platform and slide across. I found this perfect for my big Harz 2-10-2 tanks.

Both could be made out of wood or even plastic coated foamboard with relative skill required.

I like the idea of the bigger orange ones..

I wonder if it would be possible to to make a double-sided one? - 45mm one-side, 32mm the other.?

Now,there is a challenge!
You can have the IP of the idea. Just send me one, if you take it up.:D

Playmobil used to offer a ready-made one . . .

I suspect I have one in the garage, but it'll be in a box I can't currently get close to.

Cheers

split jaw used to make the EZ-loader, and they made a short one (below) and a long one (great for Dash 9 and passenger cars) Maybe they will make it again since they are under new management.

Thanks for all the replys , a very kind person on forum posted me a genuine playmobil re-railer , my little boy is over the moon to be able to put his coaches and loco back on the track himself now.

Thanks all!
