so the real instigation for this project is reading Nicolas trudgian's book a garden railway adventure and seeing his industrial locomotives in a scenic setting but the choice of livery comes from a 2ft gauge Brazilian limestone railway that still operates.
the reason for choosing this livery is it is so very distinctive some would say garish but i like it.
The model:
before first coat. bog standard locomotive apart form rc gear installed.
Red lining along the running plate and yellow safety paint on the footsteps and buckeye bars.
The livery is going to be similar to that in the photo.
tanks,cylinders and bodywork blue
motion,steps handrails yellow
i may add wasp stripes to the buffer beams and the back of the cab thoughts?
