Yes Jon quite right the iPhone was just sticking it`s head out a bit far at about 2:15! No damage done, hehe iPhone are tough ???
Oh yes editing. Nothing done on the phone, imported to my MacBook and edited in iMovie. The onboard clips was done in two rides with segments cut to match in with the stack camera clips.
Right, the camera wagon, a pivoting table on a Hartland wagon fitted with metal wheels. Originally made to take SWMBO`s video (unused - sigh) camera but since I got an iPhone (thanks work) I added the cradle to hold it and it works better I think.
Underneath view and you can see the wire arm that swings the cradle as the bogie turns.
View without the iPhone in the cradle. The piece of styrene coated wire slips into the tube glued to the wagon deck to give a little bit of resistance as the table swings, without it the table is inclined to waggle a bit.
Last one, a close up of the lady susan bearing the table pivots on.
Originally when setting up for the video camera the theory was the camera should pivot around the focal point of the lens to maintain the steadiest image. The along came the iPhone and I gave up on the theory, it is only a phone camera and garden railways not the next installment of the Hobbit after all :-
Hope that is of help and interest
