Regner Frieda

I purchased a Regner Frieda a while back which I installed a new RC Trains receiver, to replace the aging Futaba crystal unit. A water top up valve was installed, along with a few cosmetic repairs, such as the missing bell on the side of the cab, which was supplied by Graham at Garden Railways Ltd. I fabricated a new servo mount, as the old one was held on with double sided sticky tape (not much use with live steam!) which was now secured to the rear buffer beam, using the coupling hook fixing nut.

The loco on the inner circuit is the track powered Davenport, this time hauling a rake rolling stock which I scratch built. I used strip wood for the planks & sole bars, cast white metal buffer beams were used on four of the flatbed wagons. Garden fence timber care stained the wood. The couplings, wheels & axle boxes are from Peter Binnie, with the exception of the open & goods wagons, which are axle boxes & multi - height couplings from Brandbright Ltd.

Thank you & I totally agree. I was really pleased with how they turned out & the tanker wagons are my very first attempt at weathering ! I had made scratch built wagons before for 32mm track, but was spending too much time making axle boxes, until I found the ones from Brandbright & Peter Binnie.
