I recently started to notice a % Countdown when loading Pictures, but diligently continued to load one at a time. Today whan I selected a pic from my Album I noticed that a Tick appeared on the Pic, then came that lightbulb moment. I wonder if I can now post more than one pic at a time? Yes I can, great upgrade I thought that some of you out there may not have noticed this.

Not yet tried but can we still only do 10 pics per posting please Mr.Mod?

I've just managed to post twelve pics in my Ox Mountains thread - never experienced any Ticks (apart from in the bracken or what the cats bring in) or percentages.

THe only thing that has happened is that I can post my pics after using Microsoft Picture Manager!

Didn't look any different to me???

Just had to try this to see. I agree with G Force1 - no difference. May be its at your end.DSC00013 (Small).JPG

Could have been some kind of update via the iPad, though I have not upgraded my iPad and it is pestering me to do so. So it must be some kind of Forum update that has made things better with the iPad. Observing what Mick said, in the not too recent past 10 was cetainly the max of Pics that could be uploaded. Or was it only 10 that could be posted? Still whatever I am very happy with the change.

Well, there's a thing. My pic upload page does not look a bit like that - must be an apple thing.

I had noticed the improvements, especially regarding the uploading bar?

I haven't tried more than one photo as yet though.

And I'm on WIN 7 here in the office....

I have had an uploading bar for a-g-e-s?? - Could be slow PC / connection? Perhaps you have not seen it before??

Have not (on W10) noticed a tick-box to multiple upload. - Though I tend to double-click the selection to upload, then place it in the text, and move to the next picture..

Isn't the 'limit' more of a 'total size of files uploaded', than number of images?? - Think this was mentioned in the dim and distant past??

Don't know what everyone is going on about??? Mine is no different than it's been for always. If I want multiple images, left click first one, [shift] & click the last, and hit <open>. P'raps they load a mite quicker but that's all, page looks just the same?????

Fogey. :)
Anyway I tried logging on about three days ago mid-afternoon and the site was down for maintenance. Ten minutes later it was up again with no major differences, I think perhaps the boss had been tinkering. Ooh-er missus! :mask:

I remember when Apple meant cider and Mackintosh meant Rolo.
Just wish I could remember what I was going to do this morning....

The ticks on the iPad are to show the photos that have been selected from the ipad storage.
The ipad uses the 'mobile' version of the GSC site and operates slightly differently when uploading photos than a desktop/laptop.
With desktops/laptops you can either pull in multiple photos from a selected folder on the hard drive, OR drag and drop them into the posting from anywhere (very nice and easy).

Yep... One way to get the backs up of PC users is to say that Apple is better.....or vice versa.

I ran an ICT consultancy for many years and supported schools, design houses, businesses and Home users with their IT kit and operation.
The majority (especially the schools and businesses), were PC users.

On balance the Apples and the Apple OS were much more reliable and did not crash unless the user did something that they shouldn't ... not so true with the PCs..especially with upgrading the OS or adding drivers or problems with the dreaded malware/viruses even when using virus checkers (most people do not keep them regularly updated (should do it every day at least in the Windows world)).

For the Apple users the iMac was the most widely used as it was the only all -in-one that was fast and capable. This and the Powerbook are the ones that PC users will change to if they feel the urge.

I have used both systems (Windows and Mac OS) extensively, and exhaustively, o a vast variety of kit, and would always prefer the Apple kit... it even runs all of the PC software through emulation if I ever I need it (Massoth and ESU programming for example)...simples
Like for like for all of the included features, speed and quality of build, the Apple is not so much more expensive than a similar featured PC and it very rarely crashes....oh and a lot fewer viruses (so far).

In all the years of my using Macs (I started in 1988) I have had only 2 bad crashes on my own machines. One was my fault for not completing an OS upgrade before shutting the computer down at the mains. The other was because of one of the few Apple viruses that exist, being passed to me on a disk and I was being complacent about using a virus checker.

BUT if a user like their PC and Windows and it works ... an AppleMac is not for them... and why should it be? If it works for you then it is the system you choose.....but if you are new to buying then.......
